Bama fans that hold Mathieu to that standard and no one else are obviously trolling.

The only standard I hold Mathieu to is that of a defensive back. You know the position he plays.

You don't see me bringing up his blocking skills on punt returns, do ya?

Read this thread. Read any thread on Mathieu on the SECr. Bama fans say "didn't do shite on Nov. 5" which is demonstrably false. Then they say he's "overrated" based on some criteria which is roughly equal to, he doesn't play for Bama. On what possible basis is he not correctly rated. He is at the top of the conference in FF and probably recoveries. He is near the top in PR Average and TDs. He led the number one team in the nation in tackles. He plays any CB spot, and against teams that suck (read as Arkansas j/k Ozark Mutants) he plays safety.

So what exactly makes him overrated? FF are all of a sudden not as good as picks? I am really fascinated.

On November 5 I sat next to these obnoxious Bama fans (redundant, make that Bama fans) and they told me he was overrated unsolicited. Guess it is another of the Bama talking points like "scared" or "beat ourselves."

Well that is pretty dumb then considering how much he brings to the table on special teams and being a rover on defense.

You only look at him as a DB because if you looked at his overall, you would have to admit he is an elite player that deserves recognition.
