I have no problem with bama's AP title in 1978. Nor USC's UPI title.

IMO, the LSU butthurt comes from the bama fans (and I have heard it far too often) who constantly want to point out that "LSU had to share that 2003 title with USC" because the AP voted USC #1. And now that some AP voters want to award LSU the title regardless of the outcome Jan 9, bamaland has blown a gasket.

If bama wins Monday, I don't believe LSU should get the AP title. Maybe Ok State, but not LSU.

Got 1978 and 79 mixed up as the 78 Sugar Bowl was in 79. Bama was unanimous for the 79 season. It happens. I was 13 at the time and going on memory. Easy to get two years mixed up when you win back to back Sugars and NC's.
