How? They had no running game by then and Murray was way more erratic than the kicker. MSU was a better team at the end of the game.

Murray was 5/7 for 92 yards in the 4th quarter and he completed a 2 point conversion. I would say he was pretty effective at that point in the game.

I would have come out firing on the first play. No matter what, you don't play for a FG. You never play not to lose, you've gotta play to win. Richt's teams haven't had the killer instinct late in games for a few years. It's not just the OT, the D let them get back in the game by not pressuring the QB and playing off the WRs.
