False. Most of the country doesn't make stupid arguments like that, they know Bama has 13. Get over it. Bama has 8 in the poll era sure, but that doesn't mean the other five aren't official, the media recognizes, football fans recognize it, it's official.

If you keep saying something over and over and over again it somehow becomes "official". That doesn't mean that it is "correct" or "right".

You people have said this so many times that you now have convinced yourselves that it is true.

Sure........Has Bama had an extremely, successful football history and won more championships than virtually everybody else? Absolutely!

But, to claim NC's that simply didn't exist at the time and retroactively claim them is pathetic at best. 1925, 1926, and 1930 were all retroactive titles that never existed.

In 1934 the AP (who was the legitimate college football ranking at the time along with 29 other services ranked Minnesota #1, but Bama "claims" this year as a NC.

In 1941 Bama finished with 2 losses and #20 in the final AP Poll. One minor service based out of Birmingham decided to rank Bama #1, so Bama "claims" this as another one of the 13 NC's.

1964, Bama loses to Texas in the Orange Bowl, but since that "loss" doesn't count, Bama is NC. Even though Arky beats Texas that year and goes undefeated.

I think I love the "claim" of winning the National Championship by Bama in 1973 the best. Let's see.......both Bama and Notre Dame are 10-0 and play each other in the Sugar Bowl. Notre Dame beats Bama to finish the season 11-0 to Bama's 10-1. But, Bama "claims" another NC.

Bama's 1978 NC is about as legit as every other championship claimed in the past 30 years, but is still highly questionable. Both USC and Bama finish 11-1. USC beats Bama head to head in season and AP declares USC National Champion, but for some reason the UPI decides Bama should "share" the title.

Whatever floats your boat Bama. You have been very successful and should be extremely proud of your history. Just no reason to tarnish such a great history with made up and retroactive titles.
