Born and raised in HB, been living in Oxford for the last 6 years.

Growing up in HB, it obviously is a special place to me. However, I never even considered going to Hardy Street High. It is a suitcase campus where 80% of ppl go home on the weekends plus an overwhelming majority of the frat stars are posers who try wayyyyyy to hard to be "fratty" then turn around and hate on OM folks for being "preppy". Its ridiculous and sad. Oh and if you go to southern you have to be a closet MSU fan - that's just how it works.

Yes, at Southern you would be close to going to LSU games, Nola, etc but I promise you that your college experience wouldnt compare if you were to come to Oxford.HB has really done alot as far as improving the downtown area and there are some cool bars down there like The Wine Bar, Brownstones, etc. My fav place is called Keg and Barrel and is on hardy close to dtown. But their bar scene isnt in the same zip code as Oxford.

In fact, take OM out of the equation. Oxford is a badass place to live. Its a very small town but has everything you need and then some. Summers are awesome, Falls are awesome, winters blow, but spring time up here is gorgeous and makes up for the cold months of dec, jan, and feb.

Lastly, if you are interested in PT def major in Biology or Chemistry. Getting into PT school is so competitive now that you need a tough science major like that to distinguish yourself. Best of luck brah.
