Honest Question for the SEC

If the SEC really has the best athletes, why can't they field a decent lacrosse team?
They say they don't play hockey, because it isn't cold, but why not lacrosse on grass?
Too scared to compete? Or not enough brains to understand rules.

There's no reason to spend money on lacrosse programs

Bc nobody gives a frick about lacrosse. Unless they have a shitty football program.

Cause frick lacrosse. Nobody in the south really gives a shite about the sport. Hardly any high schools play it.

All the best athletes play sports that actually have a large following and actually have a chance get them a profit. Football, baseball, and basketball are where the good athletes end up. The remainder get split among all of the other various sports.
Also, I think of lacrosse as being a slightly more refined sport and so the people who play it would probably go to more refined institutions. ACC schools are better academically than SEC schools.

Lacrosse isn't popular. It's gaining popularity in Louisville and Lexington, but even still only a handful of high schools have teams.

All sec schools have a club hockey team. I know bama at least has a club lacross team. The reason they aren't ncaa sanction is because of title IX, which is incredibly stupid.

UF and Vandy have women's lacrosse programs. They have to travel to the Carolinas and up north for most of their away games. UF's program is 2 years old. Foley build a stadium for them and hired a good coach. Heard they have good turnout at their games too. Wouldn't be surprised if they started a men's program but I thought the same about men's soccer.

Lacrosse is one of my favorite sports to play. I wish it was bigger in the US.

If Trent Richardson, Reuben Randle, Aaron Murray, JaDaveon Clowney, the Honey Badger and others actually grew up playing lacrosse, I bet they'd be pretty fricking great at it.
Your argument is retarded. Don't lol at us. Look in the fricking mirror.
This same argument is used against the US internationally regarding soccer. "LOL AMERICA Y U NO GOOD AT SOCCER?!" Well, if Dwyane Wade, LeBron James, Drew Brees, and Cam Newton grew up playing soccer their whole lives, I bet they'd be pretty awesome at it. Our best athletes don't grow up playing soccer in the US, just the best athletes in the Southeast don't grow up playing lacrosse. Dumb argument is dumb.
