I don't want to come off as trying to insult LSU with what I say later on because I'm stating what I've observed from the television/radio/internet.

First of all, yes, this is probably the biggest game in the history of both schools as these two teams are two of the best ever. Rivals duking it out for a National Title? Both teams have more to prove though. Bama wants to prove they are not going to let LSU take over the spotlight betweent he two, and LSU wants to prove that they can continue to beat the only team they follow. LSU is in Bama's shadow, and has been for a long time. Bama (well Florida too, but it seems to eat at LSU more about Bama) is the only team that they play constantly that has a winning record against them. It seems like recently LSU hates Alabama almost as much as Auburn does, and Bama hates LSU almost as much as they hate Auburn.

All in all though we should be thankful for the teams we cheer for this year. Both are powerhouses that no one but the other has a shot at beating.

Indeed, this is a big game. In fact, the biggest in most fans lifetimes. All national championship games, in which your favorite team competes, are big to you. So, with that thought in mind, there has none been bigger for Bama, than the Sugar Bowl vs Notre Dame on Dec. 31, 1973. It was #1 vs #2, Bear vs Ara, South vs North. Oh, yeah. And, Billy Graham & Baptists vs The Pope & Catholics.

Hate? I chose to say that I respect the LSU (My 2nd favorite, BTW.) program and feel that most mature fans respect each others program. That ain't hate. Hate to lose to 'em, sure!
