Don't know that i saw a single play from UVA this season. What do they have?
Just based on history, I was excited to see the match up because I was worried we would get stuck playing a team that would beat us easily. I assume we will be a favorite over UVA, but I know very little about them.

the only game I saw of theirs this season was their loss to USM....I was not very impressed...but if a UVA was to only watch one Auburn game this season, and it was the Utah State game for example...I am sure they would say the same about AU's team

To be honest, UVA overachieved this year and benefited from a weak ACC. They lost to Southern Miss and didn't beat an elite team all year.
That said, they improved throughout the year and have a solid defense and a running back that could be productive in the SEC (Jones). They have some good young talent and should be able to play with Auburn, if not beat them with a few breaks.
The best part about the UVA team is they have a great young coach in Mike London who is recruiting well in state (lots of talent in Hampton Roads area) and making the team believe it can compete. AU will have more talent, but UVA hasn't been this competitive or fun to watch since the Schaub years. They will only get better and this bowl is an important step for them. If we can keep London for awhile and continue to up the talent, the ACC Coastal is there for the taking, provided we can get over the VATech hump.
