This is worse bc in 2004 all 3 undefeateds were worthy. This should've been an easy choice to put in OSU.

Auburn - OSU would be in if they wouldn't have lost to Iowa State and the other 2 don't even play anyone in the regular season

Ok state is not even in the realm of this conversation. They didn't deserve to go over Bama at all.

Auburn. Would say USC but they got AP title so people still kind of remember them as national champs

I'd say Auburn and Ok St are comparative. Both identical records to the teams that went over them and both were conference champions.
In fact, Ok St might be worse. They got passed over by a team that did not even win their own division.
