Yep; figured ya'll would have problems there. The kid either grows up Saturday in what our Dline calls 'the jungle' or you need to unload him. He'll hurt you long-term.

Someone told me they tried to get him to wear a different # so smith could get some PT on offense and he flat refused?

that's not true. If anyone was trading #'s it would be Smith since he doesn't care.

We UGA haters really blasted yall for the missing-RB formation Richt put forth in IC's recruitment.

Honestly, it was bashing then, it wasn't doomed to be a horrible sign.

But in hindsight- holy shite, was it.

ETA:

quote:

“I never liked Auburn,” Crowell said. “Point blank, I never liked them.”

Take that as a compliment!

I am tired of Crowell. To boot...he looks like a female Choctow witch doctor.

Reminds me a bit (though perhaps not to the same degree) of one Ryan Perrilloux. Arrived at LSU claiming, before ever walking onto the practice field, that he was going to win 4 Heismans. He chafed at having to sit behind Matt Flynn in 2007, even though the coaching staff knew he needed more experience. And then, after being called on in the SECCG to play for an injured Flynn (and he won the MVP award for the game, even though he threw a hideous pick that could have ended the season), he continued to behave as if he was above the rules. Les finally had to send him packing. Sad waste of a great talent because he wasn't nearly as good between the ears as he was below the neck.

Sounds like Memphis or North Alabama have a pretty good back coming in.

I hate it when these guys act like this. But it's partly our fault. 10 years ago, no 1 gave a shite about recruiting and star rankings. Now, we claim national championship recruiting classes and dream teams. These kids are celebrities BEFORE they leave high school. The 5 stars tend to always be reading their own clippings too much.

LSU is gonna make him quit

Doesn't take much to make Crowell quit. I don't think the kid has played an entire game all season. Plays like a little pussy if you ask me and the laughs it up on the sidelines.

Maybe you should start adding qualifiers to these kinds of claims.

"I hope Keith Marshall becomes our back of the future"

I don't know how yall can stomach the lofty promisesof greatness after IC, CK, and WE.

Knowshon was the real deal, though.
