He only attempted 3 before the LSU game. 2 were over 50 yards. He hit 1 from 45. Not too many NFL kickers going to hit those consistently.

So perhaps saban should have been more conservative like miles

did you see the stats and take the point?
If he was trying 40 plus yard field goals... and is only 2 of 9 on those for the year... it is not exactly a surprise when bama makes 2 of 5 attempts (one block doesn't count against kicker IMO)
