Neither team dominated the other by any stretch but one team made more big plays and that team won the game.

Bama had 12 plays from scrimmage 10 yards or more.

22,18,20,19,10,12,39,19,11,18,24,17

LSU had 5.

13,15,34,13,14,18

LSU had 2 INTs. One was returned for 33 yards.
Bama had 2 INTs. One returned for 15 yard but was called back.

Both returned INTs resulted in the team having the ball deep in the opposing team's territory. Both INTs resulted in FGs.

LSU had 1 blocked FG but didn't result in any points.
Bama none.

The biggest play was kicking the FG in OT but I wouldn't say LSU had more big plays. They just made the right play at the right time.

LSU's interception at the 1 which basically saved the game.

Brad Wing's 73 yard punt from his own redzone when Alabama would have had great field position in the 4th quarter.

The blocked field goal possibly saved 3 points.

The sacks in overtime that had Alabama going backwards.

Ford's run in overtime and the eventual game-winning kick.

They had a lot of big plays.
