It's not just us delusional Bammers who think we outplayed you.

And I believe right after the game Herbstreit said "Alabama outplayed LSU all game."
Now, you don't have to agree that Bama outplayed LSU. You can accuse them of being a part of the Massive Bama Conspiracy. But there's nothing crazy or delusional or dumb about saying we outplayed you, we should've won. Sorry, but it's ok for us to say that.

Alabama outplayed LSU in several ways and seemed to have control, but it never got the field position it needed and it didn’t take advantage of opportunities. Going forward, coming up with blowouts is a must to show everyone it deserves the No. 2 spot and a rematch.

You proved my point.
People have indeed claimed what I stated (even though I was told on Page1 that no one has said this).
I believe I have proven those claims false, or at the very least that those claims are grossly exaggerated given the facts of the game.
It was a toss-up game, either team could have won, and LSU made the key plays (especially in special teams) on Nov. 5th which allowed LSU to secure the victory. But for someone to say one team "dominated" or "outplayed" the other is hogwash IMO.

Home field advantage and you got beat. You obviously shouldn't have won. I don't care how pretty STATS look on paper -- but LSUs defense stood tall when Alabama crossed the 50. LSU out played Alabama and that is why they won. It's not because a punt "hit the wires" (lmfao) or because Alabamas kicker can't hit 3 48+ yard FGs.
LSU played an ugly game on the road and fought for a victory. LSU out rushed Alabama.. and in a defensive struggle, that is the KEY stat.

For 3 straight quarters, absolutely everything went Alabama's way - every fumble, every interception, every call (but one), yet Alabama could only muster ONE legit scoring opportunity without help. The other 4 required an interception (2), or a crucial personal foul call (2) without which Alabama never even attempts but ONE field goal the ENTIRE game. Then, at the very end of the third, LSU gets its first interception and the wheels begin fall off the Saban express. IN ITS LAST THREE POSSESSIONS, ALABAMA HAD A TOTAL OF TWO - !TWO! - PLAYS FOR POSITIVE YARDS. In retrospect, the outcome was never in doubt after the beginning of Q4, exactly like every other LSU game this year.
