Alabama was penalized for more yardage than LSU (73-56), and turned the ball over twice (which equaled LSU's 2 turnovers, and that doesn't even include Alabama's blocked FG). So in regards to the "stats battle," Alabama didn't even win the three most important categories in football: rushing yards, turnovers, and penalties.

Furthermore, Alabama's missed FGs were from 44, 50, 49, 52. I'll be nice and throw out the 44, but is it any surprise Bama missed the other 3?

I think above leads some to believe that Alabama cost itself the ball game. In reality the above is unforced errors. As far as your "3" most important stats, many look at total offense, time of possesion and first downs, as a important stat. Some even like passing yards but those dont fall into LSU's favor so I can see how they are discredited by you. I was one of those on here who has said "BAMA outplayed LSU" (K. Herbstriet also has said it) and I still believe it. Where's your page long list of games and scores, or have you conceded that BAMA is coming and this time LSU wont get to start 2 of their three field goal drives from the BAMA 25.

Here's the truth: It was an extremely tight game. Minute differences ended up deciding it. It could've gone either way.

As far as rematch:
If it's another tight game, and Bama wins, we don't know who's better.

If LSU wins, LSU is better, regardless of how tight the game is.

But if Bama wins convincingly, Bama is better. And that is what LSU fans are afraid of.

LSU won't drop frick up two separate TD passes and step out of bounds on an easy TD run either. You can keep hoping for a fluke victory against a superior team -- cause we've already seen who is better.

You had 56 more yards. Not really a big deal, but it is much better than your next two...

You had a 12 second advantage in time of possession. 12 seconds. Are you really trying to use this as evidence that Alabama outplayed LSU?

You had two more first downs. Claiming this as evidence is only slightly more insane than claiming the 12 second advantage in time of possession.
