I don't think we're world beaters. I do think we'll be the 3rd best team you've faced, but match up with you better than Oregon did.

The reasoning behind my prediction:
LSU opened -10 24 hours ago, and are now up to -13.5. This is very early, "smart money" coming from professional handicappers. A staggering amount of money. From the pros. Inside of a day.
LSU won't hit 40, but they'll score at least 30, even if it takes the entire game. That said, a mediocre UGA offense will be lucky -- LUCKY -- to break 20 on this LSU D. High-powered Arkansas' O couldn't. A Heisman-winning running back-led Bama couldn't crack 7 at home against this LSU D.
How the hell does any sane person expect UGA's pedestrian O to score more against LSU than those two?
Hence the immediate 3.5 point line move. Opening LSU as a double digit favorite wasn't enough to draw a penny of Dawg money. Pretty remarkable. And telling.
LSU thrives on being disrespected. Hell, they NEED to be dissed to not toy with their opponents, to play up to their infinite potential. That said, someone in the UGA locker room needs to tackle Jarvis Jones and duct tape his mouth shut. Stat. His quotes are being circulated amongst LSU players on Twitter; imagine the feeling at practice.
Hey Jarvis: NEWSFLASH: Your D isn't as good as LSU's, and your D isn't better than LSU's. Want a stat to back that up? LSU's DB's have scored as many TD's as they've allowed (6).
But that's just a stat, right?
Just one little meaningless statistic. Arkansas had Wilson. UGA has Murray. Who's better? Look at the stats.
Arkansas talked a little smack -- just a little -- and it was enough for LSU to answer hardcore. Add to that the national media talk all week of "If Arkansas beats LSU, then this or that can happen" pissed off the players; many admitted this after the game. Whatever you do, do NOT disrespect this team, especially when you're about to have to back it up on the field.
This same talk is now not only coming from the national media once again, but now you have UGA players calling LSU out 5 days before the game.
UGA is going to get not just beat because they are the inferior squad, but smoked because of the disrespect. Just like Arkansas.

Before halftime, every GUMP and HOG lover in the land will be on their knees thanking the good lawd they didn't have to face the Georgia Bulldogs.

I made a prediction. I am not attacking you or calling you names.
But you might want to check your facts.
Arkansas is a high powered offense, ranked 28th but UGA is mediocre ranked at 34?
Yes you are right, LSU has a better defense, ranked 2nd, UGA is 5th, Arkansas 51st.
Players are gonna talk, so what? Truth is UGA is the best match up left in the SEC outside of Alabama and that is what you are getting.
As for smoked? I disagree. Not because LSU isn't capable, but because all they want is a win, no style points needed to go the next game and keep everyone healthy.
I have attended an SEC game where we were 17pt underdogs and won by 17, beating the spread by 34. Vegas believes in one thing: money. They don't care about anything other than raking it in, but it does not mean they cannot be wrong.
To be honest, the biggest thing LSU should be concerned with is looking past this game and getting caught up. Although if you believe all the hype, win or lose, it looks like the result is the same. That too could be an issue if you know your destination is the same no matter what.
I want no part of LSU and would not want them playing backed up in a corner to GET INTO the national championship. However if we give you our best game of the year, you will have plenty to try and keep a handle on.

This team loves taking the field more than being with their families. They live to play. This antiquated, cliched thinking that they want the easiest path to a trophy is the most misunderstood aspect of this 2011 LSU football team. They'd be more than happy to play 20 games to get the same result. That's 6 more times to go out and have fun.
They won't be looking ahead, haus. They LIVE for each and every game. They simply LOVE playing football. Someone should inform Jarvis Jones of this.
