Besides being great, beautiful companions? Nothing else FOR them to be. If they weren't so hard to raise because of their health issues, which are present throughout the breed, the UGA line is just 12 times worse, I would have one.

Actually had a chance to get a puppy for free last year but decided against it. I doubt I'll turn down that opportunity again if it ever arises. But I'm sure it won't.

Aside from companionship, can't the same be said for most dogs. If you own a lab, but don't hunt , what are they useful for? If someone were to break into my house, I can assure you that they would know what my bulldog is useful for.

Regarding the article, you have to be very careful when buying a bulldog. I would never buy from a breeder that wouldn't give me contact information to previous customers. My bully has been the best dog that I've ever owned. He was housebroken in two and a half weeks and has been very easy to train. Aside from his snoring, the only problem that we have had is is tendency to get ear infections.
