Nah, LSU is second in rushing offense in the SEC. They just do it a little differently.
He hits the hole hard and is almost always the one delivering the blow, but he just doesn't produce beyond the tough inside running game.

He looked much better at the beginning of the year, but this seems to be a valid assessment of his play over the last few weeks.
