If OU wins out then they actually deserve to be in the game above Bama, tbqh. They will have 4 wins on the road against ranked opponents (FSU,KSU,Baylor,OSU), a neutral field win against another ranked opponent (Texas), and a conference championship. They will have also played the better OOC competition with FSU and Tulsa (whom will likely finish with 4 losses, but all to top 10 teams). They will have wins over (before bowls) a top5 11-1 OSU, a top 15 9-3 Texas, top 20 teams KSU and FSU. Also wouldn't be surprised to see either Baylor or Mizzou in the top 25 as well.
Bama will likely only have beaten 3 teams with winning records (PSU, Ark, AU) of which Arkansas will likely be the only one to still be ranked. In fact, there most impressive thing on their body of work will be there 3 point loss to LSU. Sure, Bama may be the second best team this season, but there body of work doesn't really lend all that much credibility to such a claim.
Even with their bad loss to Texas Tech, Oklahoma's overall body of work is more than enough for them to be worthy for a shot at the throne before Bama should get a second one.
