Just found this good link from the Clarion Ledger on the possibilities of a Mississippi State vs Southern Miss Liberty Bowl in Memphis New Year's Eve. If Mississippi State finished 6-6 and Southern Miss wins the C-USA title or loses to Houston and Houston goes to the BCS allowing Southern Miss to take their spot.

How does a Southern Miss-Mississippi State match-up in the Liberty Bowl sound to you?
It’s possible, despite the rumors you may hear to the contrary concerning a rule against intrastate match-ups in the Memphis-based bowl game. Though I won’t explain or detail the scenarios, it’s possible Mississippi State and Southern Miss will be available by the time the Liberty Bowl makes its selection with its ties to the SEC and Conference USA.

Why didn't you just post a video of a turd singing happy birthday to a parrot? At least 15 more people would have given a shite.

Thought the SEC made a rule where an SEC team could not match up with a team from the same state from CUSA.

A buddy of mine who is a USM fan is pumped. USM may actually pull out a BCS bid if they run the table and beat Houston. That would be a tall task though.
