the computer ranking will likely keep Alabama ahead of Oregon no matter what but if the voters in the Harris Poll and the USA Today poll need to decide to move Oregon ahead of Alabama in order for Oregon to make that jump then they will. If the voters want to do it because they think Oregon is better or do they want to do it because they don't want a LSU-ALabama rematch?

Oregon would also be a rematch, but that game was lost long time ago and since then Oregon has played like a NC team.

Bama lost late in the season at home and that is not good to lose late. A NC team does not lose late in the season.

Also, do the Nations fans want to see another defensive game or would they rather see the Ducks high scoring offense?

I really believe those two polls will jump Oregon ahead of Bama and if LSU and Oregon win out, they will play in the NC game.......

Of course this is coming from the stupidest post ever........

A NC team does not have a twenty point deficit with a minute left in the game on a neutral field, then get a rematch.

Its Oregons conference championship game thats going to screw bama.

Oregon will jump bama. All rematch discussions are fueled by rating whore media outlets who know the gumps will eat that shite up.

The SEC defense is becoming the talk of the town. They want Oregon instead of Alabama.
A terrible nervous system diseases is breaking out all over college football. And out right strange behavior of the Pack 12, Big 12 cartoon kids are starting to appear. People are trying to eat "imaginary SEC fly's" buzzing around their heads. That is just one of the worse cases that I note. They are also saying stuff like " We are really better because they have no offense" and "They were lucky to win that game". Talking to themselves with long arguments about kickers, and wrong plays. This reaction is even starting to spread into other parts of America. Great blocking and tackling are becoming a sign of devil worship instead of enjoying the college game improving. They want their wide open made for TV football back. Crying like kids, hating good defense like
spinach. The rest of this college football country fans outside of the SEC just don't like or care how outstanding the LSU/Bama defense is.

If Okie State or LSU lose a game before the end of regular season (or in LSU's case, the SECCG) Bama will be playing in the BCS NCG.

if it comes down to an undefeated LSU and a 1 loss AL, ORE and OKLA, then the voters will probably look at it this way...

Did the team win their conference?
Oregon - Yes
Oklahoma - Yes
Alabama - No

Did the team have a key game in November against a highly ranked opponent with the conference on the line? What was the outcome?
Oregon - Won (stanford)
Oklahoma - Won (ok state)
Alabama - Lost (lsu)

Alabama's only real argument is a bunch of people think they're one of the top 2 teams. But the point of the BCS is to determine a champion on the field, not match up who everyone thinks are the best 2 teams and give the winner a trophy.

Does that mean you've written a letter to Lsu athletics and asked them to return the 2007 trophy?

Oregon and Bama played like NC teams the nights they played against LSU. LSU just played better appearently.

There won't be a LSU vs. Oregon rematch. It will either be LSU/Bama vs. OU/OSU.

UO has played better, but I'd stop short of calling them NC quality...remember, they play in the P12.

I think the computers are going to heavily favor the Ok State/OU winner and bama/oregon will be on teh outside looking in

If LSU loses to arky it gets more interesting but LSU might still back into the NCG if they beat UGA

I'm rooting for LSU to play OU or Ok State (esp Ok State) because I'd like to see them beat everyone else with an argument this year. But honestly I'll take a NC any which way it might come to LSU

It will be difficult for Oregon to jump Bama in the next few weeks (assume both win out), unless voters in coach's poll and/or Harris poll really hate to see a LSU/Bama rematch and make an extraordinary effort to vote Oregon ahead of Bama, which seems unlikely to me.

Oregon's resume for the next 3 weeks doesn't stand out, and on the other hand, Bama would actually play (and should beat) a ranked Auburn team. Bama is now leading Oregon by 0.0344 in the BCS ranking, and that's a small but somewhat comfortable margin. I just don't see how 1 more lackluster beat-down against ASU/UCLA/USC could propel Oregon to overcome that margin.

Why are there 10 times more rematch related threads/comments on here by LSU fans than Bama fans? It's almost like the LSU fanbase is scared shitless at the prospect...

Oregon--meh. They only won at Stanford because Stanford turned the ball over 5 times.

Dude game was won by a FG in OT, could have gone either way, wondering what you'll think had it been the other way around.
