I don't get this - seriously.
As a bama fan, I'd cheer for LSU to win the national title if they were playing it against a non SEC team. How come no other team's fanbase can do the same for bama?
I.E. Did LSU fans cheer for Bama in 09? Doubtful. Why? Dunno. Shouldn't you cheer for the SEC?
ETA: It appears you're a memphis fan? Assumed you were an lsu fan. regardless, my questions still stand.

easy now, lots of us corndogs root for Bama when they play bowl games or are in the hunt, as well as my Swamp Gump relatives root for the Tigers

I grew up in S. Louisiana in the 60's and 70's rooting for LSU. We never beat Bama back then. But I always rooted for Bama to carry that SEC flag just like I did two years ago against Texas. At least half the folks from Louisiana were the same way - They're just not as assertive as the flamers.

In 2009 I did cheer for Bama, and will always cheer for SEC teams in bowl games. I think most people on this board would see Boise as a big underdog, and you know how some people are about the underdog. If Bams plays Boise I hope Bama destroys them and whips them until they are as blue as their home field.

It's one person. If Bama played Boise, 90+% of LSU fans would be hoping you steamroll them.

Anybody can do what they want. Ask the Bama fans who wanted us to lose in the NC game against Ohio State. And don't claim they didn't, because I read y'all's boards and there were a lot of people who wanted OSU to win.

Mass mojority of my friends pull for the SEC in OOC games. There is only hate when its conference games.
