Best thing to do for Bama if you can't steal another BCS coach who has at least a conference title is to hire an up and comer.

1. If he is successful - Jackpot else

2. Couple of mediocre seasons ala Shula or Zook and the fanbase is ready for the next coach ala Saban or Meyer.
