Your explination makes sense from a legal standpoint, and I get the team rule/internal stuff, but my question/observation is this: why would any player on a team ranked #1 in the country, with a very real, legitimate, shot at a National Championship even consider doing ANY type of drug that could even remotely get them into trouble,(suspended one or more games, etc?? The same can be said for overdrinking, staying out entirely too late to the point it affects grades, performance at practice, etc. In short, doing ANYTHING that could possibly hurt your team??? Yes I understand they are "kids", make mistakes, and all that, but good Lord, have some self control. Let that stuff go until after the season and then party all you want to.

I do not understand either. Hopefully, its not an "entitlement" mentality. Hopefully, they realize they can lose it all.

could be : because there is a lot of tension surrounding both the Bama game and being #1.

could be : because some people cant handle success.

you obviously have never raised children or your wife kept shite from you or your kids were great liars and were lucky enough not to get caught doing stuff they weren't supposed to. the teen mentality is enough of an enigma that somebody should write a book. oh, wait............
