I wonder why that is. Wouldn't you rather get to play them every year rather than Tennessee?

I'd just like to point out that this is the SECr and (mostly) civil discourse like this isn't encouraged.

Having said that - the two squads overall have both been extremely impressive, and there have been enough breakdowns / opinions so I won't offer my own other than to say can't wait for 11/5.

Florida - would have been much more worried with Brantley, but I think having a frosh starting will be too much to overcome, and the tigers will win convincingly (although not with a huge point margin.)

Nope...

Yeah, go ahead and think that the secondary is a weak point. Go right ahead.

I think the game will be decided by what happens when the Alabama offense is on the field. I don't expect us to do much against the Alabama defense, but we'll be conservative to avoid turnovers and try to play field position.

On the other side, I think Alabama will have a better chance of hitting some big plays against our D than we do against them, but I think our defense will be more likely to force turnovers.

Bama big plays vs turnovers will tell the story, imo

I wanna say something. I'm gonna put it out there; if you like it, you can take it, if you don't, send it right back.

Anyone find that LSU may have an emotional advantage in this game?

IMO, this is LSU's "rivalry" game. I've found that this game, the last couple of years, to be LSU's big rivalry game. T-Shirts have been made for the players. Even in the 8-5 year, they were close to beating Alabama. Alabama doesn't find this game to be as emotionally charged as LSU's team and fans do, IMO. Don't get me wrong, I'm not saying they don't get up for it, I just find that LSU has more incentive to look at this as a rivalry game while Alabama doesn't because Auburn is the game they look forward to the most....especially this year being the defending National Champions.

Same with the last few years, LSU's fans and team and coaches are more emotionally invested in this game than Alabama is since Saban has arrived in Alabama. You guys can thank Ole Miss for not being relevant and LSU not having a rival worth looking forward to.....hence, Alabama steps in...

Honestly, I will be less nervous heading into this game than any I can remember being a tiger fan. It's just so damn close that to freak out over a loss would be stupid, and to rub it in, or talk shite about a win would be just as dumb. This is just one of those games that you sit back and enjoy, and whichever team comes out on top, they were the better team that day.

Agreed. This is gonna be Ali/Frazier.

you missed a piece:

the Bama RBs break a lot of tackles. rumbling.

LSU has two O-line injuries already.

Disagree

I don't think anyone gives Auburn 2 cents of respect this year and while the Iron Bowl will be like any other Iron Bowl, every single fan I've talked to says the same thing.

"I can't wait for Nov 5th"

And if you don't think Saban won't have those boys fired up like a rivalry game for LSU of all teams, then you don't know anything about Alabama behind the scenes.

Trust me when I tell you that every single person that lives in Alabama that even knows that a touchdown is worth 6 points knows that the road to the National Championship runs through T-Town on Nov 5th.

LSU has more depth on the D-line.

Just wondering how you figure, Bama rotates 8 d-linemen and at least 6 linbackers.......just sayin

Man, I really hope no one slips up beforehand.

Well, I take that back. I hope Alabama slips up.

My point is that there will be no emotional advantage for anyone. If u think we won't be just as fired up as y'all then u have gravely underestimated the situation.

Bryant-Denny will be as loud as it's ever been and Tuscaloosa will be hostile.

It's going to be an absolutely epic day for College Football.

I was very impressed by Bama this weekend. Defense is fast and physical. The QB played better than I expected and looks to be improving game by game. OL was opening huge holes. I would put Bama as a 7 point favorite at home against LSU at this point.

I overrated Florida along with many many others, they are extremely weak, this is why Bama didnt jump LSU in AP

Bama was constantly in the Gator backfield, especially in the 2nd half, they wont push the LSU O-Line around like that, if they do, they will beat us by much more than 7

Now why would you want to go and make a really objective assessment and spoil the fun?

LSU rotates 8 also, but they are a better 8.

I'm not talking about linebackers. Alabama's linebackers are way better. As a whole, Bama has a better front 7. But LSU has the better D-line.
