Wait, Are the Texas A&M "cadets" actually affiliated with the US Military?

The TAMU Corps of Cadets is well respected nationwide.

Under federal law, Texas A&M University, along with five other U.S. colleges, is classified as a senior military college.

Except for the service academies, the Corps, in conjunction with its ROTC affiliates and the Department of Military Science at Texas A&M University, produces more military officers than any other school in the United States.

Really? I had a few friends that attended The Citadel and VMI and they told me that schools like Texas A&M and Virginia Tech were a joke.

ETA: What's up with Auburn and the group of guys in sailor uniforms?
