I'm sure there is some hippie trash on the AU campus, but I have known enough AU people in my lifetime to know that this is a fricking lie. They might have gotten 2 calls, one of which was constantly being put on hold so the caller could take another bong hit.

I was talking to the caretakers of the eagle flown at the superbowl in the airport a few years back. The lady was telling me they spend more money caring for that eagle than she makes in a year. Their care doubles the eagles like span. It ate nothing but fresh fish and chiken, drank filtered water and lived in a multi million dollar complex.. a lot like Mike.
Damn those people for abusing that bird.

peta is about worthless. they could easily hunt down real abusers but they go after simple public things like this. that bird lives better than most of us i'd guess. it is sad to see an animal not roaming free, but i highly doubt the eagle is being abused anymore so than any bird at a zoo in every major metro area across this country.
