It's funny how Ole Miss spends more money buying out coaches than they do paying them. A new coach isn't what is needed. What is needed is to keep the recruits out of trouble. Nutt can only work with what he has and can only coach so much. It is ultimately up to the players to execute. If the receivers cannot catch the ball, you don't blame the coach, you nail the player. Changing coaches every 3-5 years isn't going to fix anything. Think of this, who the hell is going to come to Ole Miss and coach knowing they are sealing their fate and career. Who are they gonna get that is any better. It is not the coaches that is the problem, it is the quality of players. The great ones can't stay out of trouble long enough to matter. It is what it is.... Stop making it something that it isn't. Living in the past gets you nowhere. Come to Ole Miss, we value traditions and excellence.... Um, ok. Traditions? Hardly... We jump at every persons demands that doesn't like something. If you don't like what something stands for at a certain university, go somewhere else. A recent survey was done based on the satisfaction with the University from Alumni, parents, and current students. The study showed that 8 out of 10 people will soon cease to support the University because it has been ruined. It stands for nothing it once did. It used to be a great thing to say that you were from Ole Miss. Not now.... People constantly want to change the way things are. Try that mess at LSU, Auburn, Alabama and see how far that gets you. If you don't like something about the school, go somewhere else. Black bears, REALLY? Come on, give me a break. We are the laughing stock of the SEC and the rest of the college world. We so often jump to be 'PC' about everything. Ole Miss is soon to be in a hurting way. They have increasingly and overwhelmingly destroyed the meaning of what it meant to attend the University of Mississippi. The long traditions routed in the pride of being an Ole Miss Rebel are over. Sure, people will continue to carry on at Ole Miss. It will soon fall into the categories that the other smaller state funded institutions that also are without Alumni Support. The Alumni isn't happy and that is plain to see. It's not just the athletic program that has some issues. In this day in age, it is everything. If you bite the hands that feed you, eventually you will starve.
