At least you don't have that "Houston Nutt Week #2 Open Date" on your schedule anymore. That was stupid. Always felt like the whole world was rev'd up for college football and then there was Arkansas, opening with a pooty-poo and then taking the next week off.
But the thing about the risk is something else. I'd think Arkansas would fare much better against quality OOC teams now than it did with USCw. SEC is at high tide and the most of the ships have risen. Arkansas' has and now it's time to take a bigger bite out of the early season games.
If I was ya'll, I'd start barking louder about it to Jeff Long.
Agreed. It just so happened that our schedule fell like this. It's actually nice to have a shitter in the middle of your schedule sometimes as well vs all up front.
I personally prefer 1 cupcake then a solid TCU type in week two, then a conference game week 3 would be perfect.

Not sure, but I think we play both of them and A&M in the same year in 2014 or something.

Between the A&M game in JerryWorld and the required two games in Little Rock it doesn't give us much wiggle room. If we schedule anyone worth a damn we have to do a home and home or neutral site and that leaves us playing way too few games in Fayetteville. If they would drop the damn Little Rock games we would have lots of options. This year for example, if we lost one game in Fayetteville that would only leave us WITH FOUR.
