his Nuttesque play calls

That offense looked painfully similar to the Dark Era of Smoke Draws, "I called that play Chuck"...etc.

In the 4th qtr Mullin was just like Nutt at Arkansas.

An uninspired 4th qtr where you just quit

We'll see about this year. They really are bad.

It also reminded me of the 4 qtr of the Arkansas-LSU game. Just beat that arse into submission with long sustained drives. Was there a mercy knee tonight?

At least Nutt would call time outs after his Smoke Draws. That final drive was the most pathetic coaching..or lack of that I have ever witnessed!

His play calling was almost as Bad as Houston Nutt's as well

It really felt like I was watching a Shula called game. Up the middle on first down. Slow developing play on second down. 6 yard route on 3rd and 14. Hell, they're down ten and Mullen puts in the "pocket passer" and runs up the middle out of the shotgun on first down . Then keeps running play action on 2nd and 3rd taking a much needed blocker out of the backfield.

It surprised me just how bad MSU is this year. The Auburn game showed that.

Well Muschamp will maul AU. I don't mean the score or the game itself. He will rip Chiz's heart out at the 50 yard line, show it to him, and then eat it.

OM will be fine this year as long as they get some stability at QB and leave Stoudt there.

I couldn't believe how that finished. That wouldn't cut it in Athens or just about anywhere else.

Great message to the fans and the MSU players Dan! Keep on Grindin'!

Seemed like he was trying to keep score respectable.

I 100% agree with this. I was in Tuscaloosa several years ago when we beat you in overtime, and I kept thinking that Shula was just as bad as Nutt!

at this whole thread. clearly MSU was dominated, LSU backed off at the end, Merlins ins't gonna be a arse, why bother? Do you really think he wasnted to see LSU drag his QB down behind the line again?
