Ok, and Bama has had a Top 10 defense each of the past 3 years and return almost all of our starters from last year. So why is it crazy to think our defense is improved this year?

I don't think anyone said that specifically. We know your D is good.
I have a hard time believing that losing a Heisman running back, QB who never lost since 1st grade, and Julio Jones amongst others makes you a better team.

And you have most of your D back from last year that this same said team hung 65 on. What makes you think your D is so improved?
