Auburn's offensive gameplan was vanilla all of last year. Not sure if everyone forgot, but Cam left, Cam right, and Cam up the middle were your favorite 3 plays... That's pretty vanilla, difference is, no Cam this year! Enjoy.
Oh $h!t. You mean Chiz and Malzahn will have to actually coach. Enjoy.

Has AU had more juniors get drafted by the NFL than BAMA over the last 3 years? NO.
Does. Not. Compute.
He was trying to rationalize AU's woes by saying that all of the good players left early.

we were pretty basic in our defense on Saturday... a lot of that was due to inexperience. Offensively, we looked decent and certainly didn't hold back much, if any.

Never seems to bother Alabama fans when they use that excuse themselves.

Is this the third year anyone would want from a new head coach? Simple question.
Chizick has had three years of recruiting. From day one you can look at the roster and know when a lean year is coming. He had the 2 pevious seasons to get ready for it. Cam is gone. He was a hell of a horse to ride but you now are stuck with a bag of trick plays and a head coach who's stong point was supposed to be defense, yet he has a team that couldnt tackle a gnat.
The "we are young" just doesnt fly. Look at how many freshman and sophmores Saban has played, not to mention started in the last three years. BAMA was young and went 10 and 3. As I pointed out we have lost more talent to the NFL than Auburn so that argument really doesnt hold up either. AU fans dont want to admit it but last year was a flash in the pan. This year is more the norm.

I haven't heard anything like that. It's safe to say that if you heard somebody say that it's just those one or two guys.

I fricking hate the term "played vanilla." Hate it.
That is all. Please proceed everyone.

The hardest thing to do after a national title is to motivate a team through the offseason.
Ask Saban last year with as much first round talent as he had and at LSU in 2004 (even though he was thinking NFL by midseason)
LSU looked pretty bad against oregon st back in 2004 but that ore st team had some nfl talent
