So what does Saban do? Or, any other head coach for that matter? For Bammer fans, y'all seem to have some keen insight into the day-to-day workings of the Auburn coaching staff. I for one couldn't tell you jackshit about what Saban, Miles, or Chiz did on a daily basis. I also doubt any of y'all have coached much beyond a video game or flag football.

We don't quite have a Travis Williams, Junior Rosegreen, Carlos Rogers,Karlos Dansby, or Quentin Groves on the field just yet.

We don't have enough experience right now. Had Tubb's recruited a decent class in 2008, we may be a better contender. Then, to top it all off, Chizik didn't have enough time to throw together much of a class in 2009. The 2010 and 2011 classes will be good, they just need experience and coaching (on defense). We also need to call better plays on defense (cough, cough - Ted Roof) to put them in positions to be successful and actually give us an SEC caliber defense.

Nope. We are lacking at linebacker. The rest of the d will be fine once they get some seasoning, but the lb play is going to hurt us pretty badly.

My goodness, if we didn't have two players last year, we are a .500 team. Shouldn't Gene Chizik have a done a better job of getting the players we need in there and coaching them up by his third year.

We did, but it seems they were more talented...

You had a really good DLine last year. Coach Rocker isn't there any more is he? Can you point out the bright spots on that side of the ball in years past?

Size isn't the issue imo. The only potentially decent ones we have aren't ready yet, except for toro who was ineligible saturday and is apparently too dumb for the coaches to trust him.
