It's also frustrating to deal with more people trying to contact you after Arky wins a golden boot than do for your birthday... haha

Arkansas fans wouldn't know what to do if they actually won 11 games in the SEC... I'm not much for picking surprise teams, so until they actually win something worth noting in my lifetime I'll stick with expecting them to finish 2nd tops in the West. Get a NC or even a SEC championship and i'll start to consider them a national contender

What do you want? We arent the kind of fanbase that is going to "be happy to just have a winning record".

Some of us (very few on here) have seen championship teams and yearn for that again. I understand that the best we have done is lose in the SECCG 3 times since you have been alive but we will break through soon. One thing is for sure, you cant half-arse your way to a championship in this league.

I can definitely see Ark winning the SEC and the BCS this year. For it to happen the run game and defense will have to improve(not that is was bad last year)and get the bounces. Now all that other stuff ie Heisman, #1 overall pickt not so much. I think 3 losses or more would be a disappointment for Ark this year.

face it. Arkansas (just like Bama, LSU, Florida, etc) could lose 4 games or not lose any. you just never know how a season will unfold.

Nominated for most rational Hawg post I've seen around here in a while. I solute you sir, and look forward to thanksgiving(ish)

Bama will beat Arkansas by at least 10. you can take that to the bank.

The Arkansas 2011 8-4 season will be extremely entertaining to read about on the SEC Rant.

There's sometimes a fine line between 12-0 and 8-4, an injury, a blown call, a player doing something stupid and getting suspended... 8-4 is definitely within the 'range' of what our final season record could be, just as 12-0 is the top end of the range. We are hoping and confident that we have the capability for the latter, but know that the former is a possibility as well. The difference in the program now is that 12-0, although tough to do in the SEC, particularly the West, is not a TOTAL pipe dream. It can be done.
And I believe we'll finish closer to the 12-0.

Hmmm... go back and watch last year, do a little research on what we have coming back, do a little research on the way CBP is building and running the program - and you won't be quite as surprised.

LSU is more likely to end the season with 4 losses, not Arkansas.

Sadly, I agree. Our fans are greatly underestimating the difficulty of our schedule as well as the loss of Peterson, Sheppard, an Nevis.

Jesus Christ, are all the Arkansas posters here totally delusional?

Jon - a few comments. 1) Mad Men is my favorite show.

2) I agree with you that the pigs win the West (it pains me to say so). I HATE Petrino but he is awesome. For those who doubt Tyler Wilson, just look at the career of Stefan Lefors. Mallett did NOT play well in the clutch last year. Single handedly lost to Bama, blew the comeback against Ohio St, and he did not play well against LSU. Arky won due to Knile Davis and their defense in the 2nd half.

3) Miss St. will NOT go 6-2 in the SEC. UF will not go 1-7. That fat douche Charlie Weis is the most important hire in the SEC thi year. I will bet you $200 that you are wrong on BOTH of those. Deal?

You have to believe that the run game and passing game will suffer because of the loss of both tackles.
Bama and LSU are going to give them trouble due to D-line and DB play.
