Why are UGA fans acting like they have no Running backs?

Carlton Thomas will be back to contribute.

What about Boo Malcome? That kid runs hard and is supposedly looking good going into the season. He can certainly pick up a lot of slack.

Give Crowell about 11 carries a game, give Malcome about 7-8 mixed with Thomas' 7-8 carries, you should be fine. Samuel may even get soem play and depth.

Last year's UGA recruiting class was awesome and it appears yall have 2 solid young QBs for the future. Your D-line looks awesome in addition to some solid athletes like Malcolm Mitchell and Nick Marshall who should make great corners or whereever they play.

The only thing I noticed, is that Richt seems to not be offering a lot of folks for this year's class. He seems to be letting a LOT of Georgia kids get away. This class sucks so far for UGA.

No he won't, he sucks.

Reminds me of a young Musa Smith. I like Malcome a lot.

Crowell

Could be great, we don't know yet.

I don't think the problem is we "don't have any" running backs, it's we don't have any proven. We're going into the first game with 2 freshmen who haven't taken a carry and a stiff, upright, converted linebacker. That's scary on paper, but potentially (speaking of Malcome and Crowell) we could be just fine, if not terrific.

Richard Samuel will be solid, and a great pass blocker, and I think Malcome might surprise. I'm still not completely sold on Crowell - he definately has the talent, but I don't think he will be to UGA what Lattimore was/is to Sackerlina. However, if I'm wrong, I will be the first to admit it.

I'm more excited about news like this:

Receiver Malcolm Mitchell from Valdosta is generating more buzz at this point than any freshman. “He ran a post pattern and split our starting safety and one of our starting corners,” Murray said. “Shawn Williams came up to me afterwards and said `I’ve never seen someone with that kind of speed before.”

Murray said that Mitchell is working harder than anyone and already knows about 70 to 80 percent of the playbook. Murray said that Mitchell “could start for anyone in the country right now. That kid is special.”

Not a flame, just looking at the commits, yall did great in getting Theus, Jenkins, and Taylor.

But what about another reciever (is Outlaw really that good?) and some DEFENSIVE BACKS?

Probably won't take more than 1 or 2 DB in this class, if that. We had a really good DB class last year.

Probably won't need more than 2 or 3 receivers in this class including Conley and Outlaw.

We'll probably get Agholor, Marshall, and Jordan Jenkins as our stars left to commit for this class. This class will be fine.

Yall think Keith Marshall is a UGA lean? If so, that's HUGE.

How good is this Chester Brown kid I've heard about. He's not ranked on scout, but he is one LARGE human being.

We lead for Marshall. If Richt survives the season, Marshall is ours.

I have no idea how good Chester Brown is. People at DawgNight say he dominated in 1-1 drills. He's not on scout or rivals because that was the first camp he ever attended and his HS coach sucks at putting highlight film together. Coaches are excited about him though!

Keep him in screens/draws and plays designed for him, maybe it could work. As more than an accessory player - no.

Wouldn't have seen the field if King/Ealey were back.

Really? I hear he's Dontavious Jackson: Part II - injury prone and unlikely to ever be a serious contributor.

Maybe for 5 or so carries a game.

Will get the majority of the PT early on. And by majority - more than 3/4 of the snaps.

Never played, supposedly came in overweight

They did move Samuel back to RB from LB

RB is something UGA should be worried about

I say he gets half the snaps, that's if he starts. I think the depth chart will change after fall practice. I expect it to be split somewhat evenly between Malcome and Crowell with the other half of the snaps.
