Enjoy: LINK

They're talking about Knile Davis, along with the other running back. They're also talking about how last season went and about the upcoming season (Breay Cook, Tyler Wilson, etc, etc). Should be a good read for Arky fans.

From the article:

quote:

But while Petrino likes to put the ball in the air, history shows he'll utilize talented running backs when he has them. His 2004 Louisville team was eighth in the nation in rushing offense, averaging 250 rushing yards per game. Indeed, three of Petrino's four teams at Louisville ranked 12th or better in rushing offense.

Arkansas will have one of the best, if not the best, rushing attacks in the SEC and nation next season, especially if Wingo steps it up just a little more. Davis and Johnson are a poor man's McFadden and Felix Jones, respectively.

Great..yall the best ....but will you win a bowl game?

It a yes or no question which is good becuase "statistically speaking" 1 in 2 (50%) is a heck of a lot better than 3 in 19 (15%)

uhhh yeaaahhh.. i mean, i hope so, but we really don't know anything about our OL yet. chances are we'll rely heavily on a true freshman at the tackle, and possibly at the guard.

also: Crow Pie, go away.

You're right about the O-line being young at some spots, but I stand by my prediction. I think there's enough talent and time to get a formidable O-line in place, especially with the 3 cupcakes to start off the season.

I also factor in the talent we have at running back. Davis is one of the best 'backs in the nation, and Dennis Johnson can do things like this:

Wingo has the physical tools to be another dominant back; he's a heck of a talent at 3rd string. He's had flashes of brilliance, and once he becomes a more consistent north-south runner like Davis, the sky's the limit for him.

Also have to look at how our offense works and how the defense always has to respect 3-4 of the nation'b best WR's getting open down the field on any given play. Defense's won't be able to load up against the run as often as they will be able to against teams like LSU and Bama.

With a new QB and new OT's, I expect to see a little more running this year than last, but Wilson's no slouch and Petrino's O will always have a capable air attack.

Also, I expect Arky to field a top 4 SEC defense and that means more time of possession for Arkansas, more plays, and likely more running plays to run out the clock in the 2nd half.

Also, factor in that Wilson should have positive rushing yards unlike Mallett.

Good lord. Y'all are making my pants tight.

Considering we get D. Johnson back as well as Childs, is it a stretch to say that we will have more talent this season than we had last season?

Plus our defensive line should be beastly.

Casey Dick could win 9 games with this team.

Crow Pie = Mike from Stuttgart. Just a blind negative hater. Talks a big game, but prolly just a lil feller. Scamper before you get stuffed in a mayonaise jar.

I believe our interior line is pretty solid. The tackles will be the question mark. We have Freeman who has recieved a good bit of playing time but it looks like BP really likes what he see's in Brey Cook, and the positive talk over offseason and spring about Oden/Charpentier/Peacock has me feeling pretty good.

Yes and I'm willing to put money on it before the season starts. Are you? Or are you just talking out your arse as usual? It's a yes or no question and there is no need to get into online banter about it. Either you are willing to bet me or you aren't and I'm not talking about nickel and dime shite either.
