re: Tide's Richardson has few peers physically

Trent is more of a straight of head runner. He's powerful and will hit you in the mouth but he doesnt want to cut away from you. If you look at tape from his kickoff returns sometimes he runs straight into a defender. I don't think the running game will be better if he is #1 guy. Mark Ingram did some special things for alabama and I think it will show next season. Unless you are Brandon Jacobs then you are not going to run over a defensive lineman.

That said, I dont think Trent is not a good running back because that would be false. I think hes just not an all around good back like Mark Ingram was.
