He said the Alabama strength staff stopped him at 465 pounds on the bench-press. “They didn’t want me straining anything,” Richardson explained. “But I wonder what I could do for real.” The same goes for squats and the power clean. Richardson said he wasn’t allowed to go higher than 600 pounds on squats and “did that easy.” He’s gone all the way up to 365 pounds on the power clean, but added, “I was doing right around that in high school.”

He needs to spend less time on the bench and more time on the eye hand coordination machine.

Saw TR when he was entering his sr yr of HS while I was doing my internship at Athletes' Performance in Gulf Breeze. We didnt train any of the Escambia High kids but one day there was a coaching clinic at our facility that all the area coaches were a part of and TR came with his coach to see the facility. I actually met Dameyune Craig that day too - awesome guy and coach.

At the time I had of course already heard about the nationally ranked RB that played at Emmitt Smith's old HS but I had no idea he was so shredded. I literally could not believe he was a rising senior in HS. Dude looked like some of the NFL guys we trained, no kiddin.

you guys make fun of Auburn fans obsession and love for Cam, yet Bama folks nut all over richardson, for not all that much to date.

trent richardson is a physical freak who excells in the weight room..yea! hurray! roll tide!! woo-woo!!

all that stuff means nothing if you haven't watched him play. he gives everything he has on every play...never gives up, uses all of that hyped weight room stuff to just bull his way through defenses--you might think he's down, but he keeps on pushing. he might not be "better" than ingram, but the guy is a workhorse, a team player and a total competitor. anyone would LOVE to have t.r. on their team.

and, he's just really fun to watch..the kind of player that makes you love college football.

Just like Mark I. trent has not proved squat when playing Auburn. Tell him not to forget his muscle relaxers when the Crimson Tide heads Southeast in November
