you can carry a hand gun in a auto if unloaded and in the trunk of your car.this is alabama law. if loaded ina car or truck and you don't have a cc they will take your gun and you will be charged with posetion of unregstered fire arm. no permit.you must be 21 to own a pistol or buy ammo for it. you must be a resident of al to buy a hg

That's really wierd considering Alabama is an "open carry" state. It's legal to carry a loaded pistol strapped to your hip if it isnt concealed.........but it has to be unloaded if it is in your car?
