My comment and BHP's were sarcasm. I thought it was pretty obvious .

Sometimes it is hard to tell with LSU fans when the topic is their precious secondary.

Mathieu is, I think. His stats proved it out last yr in INT's, Tackles, passes defended, forced fumbles. All better.

You don't know me at all.

I like both of our guys. But, I am NOT a homer.

Yea.....lockdown corners like PP7 don't tend to get a lot of passes thrown their way.

I know. It's all fun. We both have awesome D's returning. If there is anything we should debate, it is who can actually put up some points next year.

He had enough thrown his way. He got burnt quite a few times last year. Some of it due to the style of defense playing off recievers, some of it because he was plain ole burnt. Mathieu, imo, may have been better last yr. Hit harder and I think will be better overall.

If pp did get burnt as you say it was on a 10 yard Td on single coverage to julio the mega beast. No one got past him all year and if you did catch a pass on him it was single coverage, never over 15 yards, and he made the tackle.

I think kirk did well last year despite a weak pass rush. Not sure about milliner, when he did give up a big play it was because he was out of position or running a different play than the rest of the team.

Barron is awesome. Reid will smash your face. Trex is better than all of them. Lester is decent, probably better than our safety Taylor.

Oh yeah. Bama had 3 more picks than us but we had 5 more ff.

Actually 2 more FF. Our top 3 secondary guys had 3 FF of their own.

Monticello you misunderstood me or your reading comprehension sucks!!!!!!!!! you said

Yea, PP7 was such a weak link in that D
Even though we lose PP7 we will have a stronger secondary this year than last. He only played one position. Heck Mathieu had more of an impactful true fresh year than PP did his first year. Eric Reid, Craig Loston, Tharold Simon were all Freshman. It is not because PP is gone that we will be better, but because the other guys have more experience. Not to mention Brandon Taylor back healthy..

I'm not that high on Dre either. I'd rather Milliner and Menzy.

Disagree on Lacy, think he'll work out well now that he's in the spotlight.

Aj will be the starter.

lacy hasnt looked slow in game action, but he gets a lot of garbage time so it will be interesting to see how he does next season in a bigger role. bama's got a lot of bruisers at RB. TR, Lacy, and Fowler, which one would you rather (try to) tackle?

This^^^^^^^^. Its pretty pointless watching to fan bases argue who has the better secondary when both are tops in the country. And know way to settle this till the season starts.

Bench might be wishing McElroy was back before the end of this season.
