My thoughts exactly. No way were we worse than 11-1 last year. Nick did not do his best coaching job last year.

new secondary and offensive line caused our downfall, not the coaching...

Wuerffel was cerebral, could throw the fade like no other, won a NC, Heisman, and was a terrible NFL QB.

This. Also, there are only so many teams who need QBs. Not everyone can be a first round pick.

Look at Jason White.

I'm probably being a homer here, but I think Jason could've been at least a career backup in the NFL had he been healthy. His knees were really, really bad.

Yeah but he has a team filled with his recruits now....You all should know by now that losing 3 games with Saban's talent is absolutley shameful

Or maybe he won't transition well to the NFL? David Greene won more college games when he left than anyone before him in history, but he simply wasn't an NFL quarterback.

Damn good high school quarterback though

Colt McCoy set the standard going in the 3rd round last year

He deserves a shot to be a back up. Hopefully someone will give it to him.

A smart GM would pick him late, get him on the roster, have him stand on the sidelines with a clip board, play him occasionally and offer him a job as a coach like Jerry Jones did with Jason Garrett.

Garrett is another ginger who is smart like McElroy (Garrett played at Princeton and Columbia).

I guess that's what happened in 2004 with LSU when that Saban coached team lost to Iowa due to poor pass coverage on the last play of the game.

No, I'm wrong, they had two defensive backs who were on the field for that play get drafted in the first four rounds of the 2004 NFL draft.

It was poor coaching after all, and by the "Top Defensive Back's Coach in the Nation" himself.

Yeah I don`t get why bammers are pissed. I figured the ginger was just doing this bc its a great opportunity/experience. The NFL doesn`t like guys who don`t count on football being their whole life. The ging has plenty of other opportunities.

Alabama fans have no credibility with the rest of the SEC when speaking about anything non-Alabama Football related.

We know none of ya'll care about anything other than Bama Football.

Your post shows you no nothing about the NFL.

90,000 of you guys show up to watch a practice in April.

You all should just stick to what you are really good at-Bama Football.

NO.

YES.

BUT HE'S A WINNER. He did a great job leading an Alabama team with at least four future first round picks to three losses this year.
