Best-Tenn 1999

AU sucked and UT was teh defending BCS Champs so there was no real reason for any hostility. Was invited onto the Vol Navy with GF at the time. Tailgating on a boat is very cool.

Worst-OM 2000

Stopped non-moving traffic after the game to assist an old OM fan in getting his car out of his parrallel spot...another OM fan revved his engine and ran me down.

Ok, so "most" may have been used a tad bit liberally here. You do have a valid point, but Tech's management program (while it is a management program and so it is frowned upon by the engineer's at the school) is quite good so they too are in the management positions along with UGA's business majors, but most of the engineering firms that would be hiring said contractors would hire tech grads for their firms. We really just end up going in circles here I'm afraid.

I seriously cannot figure out WHY who makes more is even important. Fact is, Tech has the little brother syndrome and it's the only thing they can hang their hats on. No one gives a shite but a Tech graduate. Too bad money can't translate to wins in Georgia like it does in Alabama.

What matters long run? An annual football game or a job? And I never even mentioned earnings.

Again I refer you to point #1. Football players at most schools major in PE, coaching, or something else that requires very very minimal brain activity. That's not an option at tech, their athletes have to have real majors and take real classes. The academics at that school kills their athletics, but nerds can drink with the best of them, so I don't think too many care that much. Losing is a good excuse to drink for quite a few there.

We aren't here for chatting about our jobs but football and other sports. That's my point.

Worst:
2009 Auburn: Went to their student union after the game to buy a coke out of a vending machine. Was approached by a group of frat guys and literally cussed out. Don't know what I did. But I kept my cool and kept walking. As much as I like Auburn, that kind of pissed me off.

Could have been your cheerleaders and your fan section shitting all over our Alma Mater by doing "Hotty Toddy" and other cheers while our band was playing the Auburn Alma Mater.

Now I don't intend that to be an EXCUSE for rude behavior (there is no excuse) but if your question is "I don't know what I did" and you participated in what I describe above, then there's your answer.

Everything about the tech gameday experience is completely worthless and bottom tier.

My best and worst happened in the same year.

Best - Bama @ LSU 1996 - Shaun Alexander went off in that game. Just had an awesome time, Tiger fans were really cool, you always run into an a-hole here or there, but we partied with some great folks, ate some good food, it was just a great trip. Really ever since the experience I had there, I find myself pulling for LSU except for when they play Bama. Really had a great time all around.

Worst - Bama @ UT 1996- We played an awful game and lost. UT fans young and old were by far the most ignorant and aggressive bunch of assholes I've ever come across. Hell, I had what had to be a 10 year old kid tell me he was going to frick my mother. Semi funny yeas, but it was just wrong. I will give the little tyke credit though, he was about the most cordial person we ran into the entire day. After the fine fan experience and shitty game, we came back to find that my friend car had been keyed, had his license plate ripped off and someone had shite on the car. Dead serious there, someone had got up on the hood of the car and dropped a loaf right on it. In retrospect, yeah it's funny to think about, but really? Shitting on someones car?
Funny thing is that it wasn't like it was decked out in Bama stuff, it was a green Honda Accord with one small Bama sticker on it. Sufficed to say, I have never pulled for UT and refuse to go back to that place.

NOLA cops would probably agree with you and tell you they couldn't do anything about it.

This situation is what makes NOLA a bad experience. It usually happens to out of state visitors because the perps know nothing will be done.

As a kid in my hometown we had parties on the beach with live bands every Saturday night during the summer.

As an underage resident of the town, I knew I could get into a fight with someone from out of town and not get prosecuted.

The cops would bring both parties in book the out of town people and let the townies go.

They made money off of these fights all summer long.

Our state has a problem with finances and corruption. That's a bad combination.

Glad the BR part of yout trip went well.

Worst - Ole Miss, this 6 or 7 year old comes up to
to me and throws a drink on me and calls me a corndog. Never ate or cooked a corndog in my life. Wanted to bitch slap the little brat.

Best - Tennessee, all of the fans were really nice
and helpful. It was only my husband and I and we
never heard a harsh word from anyone.

I have been to NO several times and loved it. But I haven't been back since that incident.

Eta: plan on making it down to BR for the game this year

Excellent. Then the explanation (not excuse) lies in your cheerleaders and the majority (because I was there and saw it and heard it) of your fellow fans.

And the what was the whole thing about? TOMMY TUBERVILLE.

In retrospect, ridiculous, no?
