Thanks guys for telling me the reason that games like this take place. It's really a shame that LSU doesn't have a true instate rival. Tulane screwed itself big time when it left the SEC. Ga.Tech did too, but at least they are in a decent conference. If you talk to older Ga.Tech fans, they will tell you that was a big mistake, leaving the SEC. At one time, Tech had a very heated rivalry with Bama. The older Bama fans told me that Tech was a much bigger game than anyone else on their schedule.

Perhaps but IMHO GT is a better fit in the ACC as a smaller private school with higher academic standards than most SEC schools. GT has competed for and won the ACCC, something they would likely never be able to do in the SEC.

I remember 4-5 years ago when LSU-Tulane played a midweek game in front of like 11k at Zephrr Stadium. Game was on espn I believe. They should do that every year. Just like SC and Clemson do that 3 game set at a neutral stadium in the nc schedule.



LSU FANS - why don't yall do this?
