I knew we were screwed when we hired Croom who hadn't been in the college game for 18 years. I was glad when he left. I just can't put him as the worst since 1980. Others mentioned Hallman, DiNardo, Dubose, Orgeron and I would even throw Danny Ford (maybe not so much a bad coach but a horrible coach when you look at the whole package) in there. Croom may be next after Ford (or maybe Ford was just one of my least favorites after backstabbing Kines).

Dinardo does not belong on the list. He took LSU out of the cellar after 6 straight losing seasons and to three straight bowl games. Lou Tepper was his undoing later. But Dinardo did some good things.
