“I can’t even tell you what Julio ran a 40 in here,” Saban said. “I mean, I coached Everson Walls when he was how old. I’d be afraid to say what he ran the 40 in. He played corner really well. But I would not want to know what he ran a 40 in at that station of his career. He could still play football. And he was the best player we had.

“All’s I can tell, when they get out there running on the field, they’re really fast, they’re fast enough, or they’re slow. I don’t really need to see what they run.

Julio would have ran a sub 4.3 if he had two healthy feet.

running with pads on is different....you would know the difference if you've ever stepped on a football field

eta - I agree with Sabear

I agree. Peterson had the top speed officially among cbs. But Buster Skrine slipped on his 2nd run which was 4.39. The first time he ran a 4.28. But officially he ran a 4.39. I call bullshite.

Football speed is what matters, when the pads are strapped on.

is that the truth, or is he saying....I don't need to know things like that to know whether a player is a good football player or not.......

yea right.....He will want to know how many times a player takes a shite so he canreally compare them and try to get the fastest ones he can.....

He knows....his is again lying....as usually.....

I really don't see Saban being the type of person who wastes his time on spin. I think he says what he means and means what he says.
