Get rid of Hamilton - something I called for 2 years ago

I am amused as are other Tennesseans here In Nashville, that more blame hasn't been pointed to the real blame for Tenn's troubles.
From his flaky hire of Kiffin, to the lack of institutional control, Hamilton has wrongly avoided blame. I'm glad to see Mandell throw Hamilton on the grill where he belongs:

Granted, it does appear that the dubious organization with strange rulings this past season, aka the NCAA, is hell bent on getting Tennessee.
This is rather amusing as they took several years to investigate Bush, yet took a mere two days to clear Cam Newton - you know - wouldn't want to deprive the nation of their National title game.
Still, Pearl probably has brought the entire wrath of the NCAA upon Knoxville - for that unpardonable sin - you don't mess with nor lie to the Spanish Inquisition.
Whatever happens, Hamilton will ultimately and correctly, be held accountable.

I have been a fan of this for a while now. He clearly does not have much control.

I say keep the Hamilton bum for Ev-AR. Let him continue to drive that program into the ditch. Couldn't happen to a more deserving bunch. Here's one instance I'm hoping the folks who ultimately hand down the punishment on Tennessee wake up on the wrong side of the bed, with a scorching case of crabs and a burning desire to F-Tennessee up.

under mike hamilton, UT football has as more loosing seasons than bowl wins.
that has to be the worst 8 year stretch in UT football history.
the guy can fund raise, but that's about it.

With grammar like that everyone knows you actually went to the university of Tennessee.

He's a fine fundraiser. But once all this stuff with Pearl hit, Hamilton's free pass for that little hire went out the window.
If Dooley doesn't produce enough results, then Hamilton will be gone. He's not getting another opportunity to hire a football coach.

Bruce Pearl doesnt deserve to be fired. He doesnt even deserve the punishment and backlash that he has already recieved. The punishment does not fit the crime.

So you don't have a problem with coaches lying to the NCAA and telling others to do the same?

Yeah. But its not worth firing him over. The idea that lying about secondary violations is worse than blantantly committin multiple major violations is absurd.

There were 9 major violations as well as the lying.

Pearl was cited for impermissible contact with student-athletes during an unofficial recruiting visit, for not being ethical about the matter, for failing to promote an atmosphere of compliance, and for failing to monitor the activities of his assistant coaches.
The one new charge revealed in the notice of allegations was that Pearl and associate head coach Tony Jones were cited for a secondary violation of "bumping" 2012 recruit Jordan Adams (Lawrenceville, Ga.), on Sept. 14, 2010, during Adams' junior year when the two visited Adams at Oak Hill Academy.
All are major.
The charges against Tennessee's assistants have also been deemed major in nature

Sorry grammar Nazi.
I forgot Arkansas was a premier university, and i should carefully proofread my statements to avoid criticism from an Arkansas scholar, such as yourself.
