Why do yall call them the "diamond" dawgs? That seems like something women's teams do. Kinda ghey IMO, just curious

Mississippi State's baseball team has been known as the Diamond Dawgs for years. Our baseball team also has its own logo only used in baseball. Mississippi State baseball has a lot of tradition.
