Beautiful forecast this weekend in Starkville as its supposed to be 72 and sunny Friday afternoon at 4PM when we open our 2011 season.

I may be reading into the hype machine, but its John Cohen's third year at Mississippi State building up his program, and FWIW after two tough years at Kentucky (similar to his first two at Mississippi State) he went 44-17 and won the SEC. Im not expecting that much, but I really believe that this is the year Cohen turns things around in Starkville and puts Mississippi State baseball back where it should be among the elite teams in the SEC.

How many baseball threads are fans of a horrible team going to start?

Why are you guys so excited? Hoping to hit the 7 win plateau in SEC play this year?

Geesh

SEC baseball is a little over 48 hours away from the first pitch of the season.

Who is throwing the first pitch for your school this Friday?

Chris Stratton is toeing the rubber for my Bulldogs.
