It's not that I don't think he's dirty (I understand what I said earlier really made it sound like that) it's just that i don't believe he is much dirtier than most of the rest of football/basketball coaches. Part of the reason I reacted that way earlier is it makes me mad wen ppl r hypocrites and knock on pearl like he is Satan And the only coach to ever cheat

Pearl had a freaking BBQ and lied about it. He is an idiot and will be punished for it. End of story.

I don't know how clean or dirty our program is, but I am extremely embarrassed about the way our guys have acted this year. I graduated last year with Barry Stewart and Varnado, and those were two class acts. Stans needs to make some examples, but his seat is too hot for him to lose games by booting players.

How Mike Hamilton has a job right now is beyond me. He has single handedly destroyed our University. Hamilton should have fired Pearl on the spot and also Kiffy with all the shite he pulled. The dude is a terrible AD and knows nothing about compliance or hiring a refutable coach.

where's all the state hate coming from. I don't get why people think Stansbury is dirty. I mean if you have a reason, then tell us. He's never been in trouble. He's just a shitty, shitty coach. Some players got in a fight in the stands. So that makes the program dirty? Yeah he should have kicked sidney off already, but I don't think that makes the program dirty. Just shitty and desperate.

I know firsthand some of what Standsbury has done, and I'll just say Jackie Sherrill could learn some things from him.
But most of college basketball is that way. AAU has created just an extremely dirty process all the way around. Boosters of schools can contribute thousands of dollars to AAU programs. Those coaches are working as agents and there is nothing the NCAA can do about it.
9 out of every 10 kids that come out of AAU has been purchased one way or the other. Basketball recruiting has dwarfed college football and its antics the last 10 years.

FWIW I've posted this before, but Gary Parrish said that Pearl wouldn't be in the top 6 dirtiest basketball coaches in the SEC.
Deserves to punished severely for what he's done, but as far as "dirty" pay for play. academic fraud, things of that nature. That really create a competitive advantage.

Only 9 out of 10? I find that hard to believe.
There is a LOT wrong with SEC basketball right now. I wonder if emphasis on doing better in football has taken too much focus off of doing things well in basketball.

I think both MsSt and TN are embarrassing the SEC. Cal will get caught, it is just a matter of time.

He has backed out of recruiting Bledsoe, and Knight, because there were a lot of rumors their hand was out.
Our players are never in trouble, they graduate or go to the NBA, and always represent us well.
The 04s did it the right way. Green, Noah, Horford all had money.
