The guys Saban grayshirts are told either from the very beginning or at some point along the way with enough time to change their minds that there is a possibility they might have to grayshirt depending on how the numbers work out.

I am sorry, I cannot buy that and no one really does. Explain why too people were asked to grey shirt on July 31st last year to make the 85 number the next day.

Are you HONESTLY going to sit here and tell me they were told before they committed they would be greyshirting or it was highly probable?

If so, I question either your integrity (and ability to tell the truth) or your intelligence.

I'll take Saban at his word when he says that greyshirting was always discussed as a possibility with every recruit who has ever been grayshirted. Sometimes it works out where a spot opens and other times the spot doesn't. Until you can prove otherwise, then take the advice you are always giving to Bama fans about Cam and STFU about it.

Honestly Miami, it's like I told you last night. Alabama is not a family and we don't claim to be. We oversign, we grayshirt, we push every NCAA rule to the max without breaking the serious stuff. Alabama football is what it is and I love it with no apologies. Satisfied?

Now, go back to your dream world where you think Auburn football is one big loving family where all are welcome and everyone lives happily ever after.

2010 class:

Robert Carswell's offer was for a greyshirt only. He accepted, and re-signed in the 2011 class.

Wilson Love broke his leg in the fall of 2009. He had trouble recovering and when he signed in the 2010, he knew he would be greyshirting.

Harrison Jones was told he might greyshirt, and was going to do so until the Alfy Hill situation happened.
