Per OMSpirit poster NetworkReb:

quote:

Mike Ferrell, the recruiting analyst for Rivals Radio, said in an interview on Sirius radio yesterday that "Houston Nutt has done the best job of recruiting in the entire nation this year" considering the 4-8 year and all of the disappointments during the season.

He said that in response to a State caller who asked him why Ole Miss is doing such a good job of recruiting and is out-recruiting State this year.

Ferrell said that the Ole Miss staff has been working particularly hard this year and he cited advantages such as "tradition, location, facilities" as tangible reasons that Ole Miss is out-recruiting State. He implied that State is perceived as a one-hit wonder by a lot of recruits and the consensus is that they will fall back to their traditional losing ways.

He also said that this is a peculiar year for recruiting in Mississippi because the main players all have become friends and have all decided that they want to play in college together. He said that early in the year it looked like they would all play together at State, but as the year progressed they now all look like they will play for Ole Miss. He also said that he fully expects Snoop and Johnson to commit this weekend.

It's amazing that anyone would want to join that shite program after this year.

Nutt is beast mode recently when it comes to closing on recruits. He's an amazing used car salesman in the living room.

Good for OM - they need the talent influx.

You gotta give it to him. He is doing a great job. Whoever comes in next season is gonna be very lucky to have these players.
